My tenor saxaphone is a b flat instrament and I know if Miss. Chase says to play my b flat scale then I have to go up two half steps which would be C major. Then if she says to transpose to La, I would have to count up until my 6th note which would be A. A would become my minor Do and then that would be my new scale. If i get concert Eb major I would have to transpose to F. Then i know to go up to my 6th note so that would become D minor. My next concert scale is F major and D minor. I would start on G because I had to go up 2 half steps. To transpose to La, I need to go up 6 notes to get E. My last scale Is concert Ab major and F minor. I would start on Bb after going up 2 half steps. Transposing to the note G to for my new Do.
