For every pep band game I have been there for all 7 of the ones we have played. I might as well go because Ms. Chase needs lows to come and I would already be there to watch the boys. I think that I would give myself an A. I think I would get this grade because I have been at everyone. I play all the songs pretty well and I'm the only tenor that plays so I need to play them. I also deserve this letter grade because I come and get my stuff ready and I am there on time. I play every time. I think that it is important to play pep band so that more people know how much work we put into practicing our instruments. I don't think they know how much goes into learning the new songs for pep band. When we come and show up to play well they really enjoy it and we can get the boys and the crowed pumped up. Its a great thing. The songs are quite fast and lots of 16th notes. They usually complement how well we played and it really helps when we get a gift for just coming out and playing. I think that my least favorite songs are Fight song, Lets go band, and Rubber Ducky. I don't like the fight song because we over play it. Plus it is super confusing if you get lost because the quarter notes are like 8th notes and the half notes are like quarter. Lets go band sometimes doesn't work if the student section doesn't shout with us. Rubber ducky is like my least favorite because of the beat. It is so slow and like the notes on my page is messed up. My three favorite are Crazy Train, Songs on page 42, and YMCA. I like crazy train because everyone gets really into it and it is fast and fun to play. The songs on page 42 are new and no one heard us play them before which was fun to see how they reacted. I liked playing the new ones because it shakes things up a bit. I also like YMCA because its all just quarter notes for me. I like how it goes from high to low notes and back and fourth. It really does sound like us singing it in my head. In crazy train measure 5, I really improved myself. I wouldn't think that I would be able to hit the high notes to the low notes so fast but I can and I cant believe it. Its so fast and exciting. I have no clue what song we could play for a new pep band song. I don't think I know many that would fit well for us to play.
